Our Mission

The Strong Women Foundation was founded in 2019 in honor of Norma Scarpinato DeGolyer who at 39 years old was widowed being left to raise six children. Norma bravely raised her children instilling in them the value of perseverance and the belief that nothing was insurmountable. The way Norma lived became her children's greatest example of this. She lived every day with a kind heart and a helping hand in spite of the tragedy that befell her family.  When she passed away in 2016, her son, Don was determined to establish  a charitable organization in memory of the strongest woman he had ever known.
